Coach Getty is a 22-year veteran of the Baltimore City Police Department. He began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2013 and actively competes in IBJJF tournaments as a brown belt in the Master 5 division, earning medals in numerous competitions. Prior to jiu-jitsu, Coach Getty spent 10 years as a competitive weightlifter. He is passionate about teaching and dedicated to helping others succeed and reach their full potential.
